This week for the More Odds Than Ends prompt challenge I got the following challenge from AC Young: Time travel is dangerous. If you accidentally prevent your own birth… It struck me that this would make a great 50-word story challenge in the same vein as the Postcard books Raconteur Press published last year.
So, in the spirit of Postcards, I give you the following:
“Beware, young man. Time travel is dangerous. Be careful you don’t prevent your own birth.” His professor chuckled, gazing at the blue cabinet.
Brandon gulped. He hadn’t considered that scenario.
But this was for science. Stepping into the cabinet, he pushed the big, green button.
The police call box vanished.
