Stupidity or Evil?

I’m going with stupidly evil or evil stupidity. Or simply, yes. The Biden Administration is stupid AND evil. Joe Biden is suffering from dementia/Alzheimer’s; take your pick – he’s not in his right mind. And even when he was in his right mind he lied like a rug, enabled his son’s hookers and blow habit, took cuts from dubious, illegal deals created by that same son, and covered for him. Jill Biden (notice how she’s not been in public for a while) thinks that she’s queen of the U.S. She insists that people outside of academia and academic settings call her “doctor.” That’s laughable and only arrogant assholes insist on that one. These are the people you voted for if you voted for Biden.

Punishing the Unvaccinated to Assuage the Fears of the Vaccinated

I just read a piece in Reason talking about Leana Wen’s (now working for CNN natch) contention that the unvaccinated should be confined to their homes. That due to their refusal to get the vaccine they are causing problems for those people who chose to get vaccinated. With that statement, in addition to loudly demonstrating her love of all things authoritarian, Wen absolutely undermined any arguments from the CDC, FDA, or FICUS that the vaccine is effective.

Choices or I Am Really Pissed

“It’s my choice!” is a phrase that gets thrown around a lot. The left likes to make the argument that all their laws, rules, policies, and mandates are about letting “the people” make their own choices. Except when those choices are not the same as the left wants you to make. When that happens, you’ve made the “wrong choice” and must be made to see the light. Because after all, you clearly have no understanding of what’s good for you. Of course, all of their choices are the absolute right ones. Even if they do backfire later.

Door to Door Invaders

The other day, Jen Psaki, Biden’s press secretary, said that in order to bring up the vaccination rate the government would be initiating a door-to-door campaign to try to get more people to accept the jab. This prompted a TON of blowback and rightly so. The government does not get to decide how citizens handle personal health issues. And stop with the “it’s a pandemic! Don’t you care about others? You’re going to kill us all!” This thing is a bad flu.

Unmasking

As of today (Saturday) about 15+ states have significantly lowered their Wuflu restrictions or eliminated them altogether. One CNBC story I found had as part of its headline “…despite warnings” and in the opening graf noted that the Biden administration had asked those states to slow down. I giggled at that. It’s not going to happen. We have reached the one-year anniversary of “two weeks to flatten the curve.” In my purely anecdotal scanning of Facebook, I noticed that the “wear your mask!” scolds had died out. BUT…as soon as the news started coming out that states were lifting mask mandates, the wailing and gnashing of teeth began anew.

Avoiding the subject

A few days ago, Sarah Hoyt wrote a post called “Operation Swamp Fox.” In it she talked about tactics to push back, fight back, against the gaslighting and propaganda coming from the left; the media, Democrat Party, and their followers/supporters (which includes those who are going along in the hopes of being left alone, and Never Trumpers who are delusional they’re going to come out on top). I agree with Sarah’s sentiment and I resolved to start engaging in my own Swamp Fox tactics (go read her post for ideas).

Chaos, contradiction, and tigers

Several things have wandered through my field of vision this week and each one has simultaneously surprised me and confirmed my already high levels of cynicism. The first was a second lockdown and restrictions. In Philadelphia, our (incompetent) mayor has decided to do our (incompetent) governor one better and shut down all indoor dining and gyms and gatherings. Additionally saying we shouldn’t celebrate Thanksgiving. And to top it off, the PA secretary of health, Rachel Levine is saying that we all need to wear masks indoors. Yeah. Not happening. This is planned to last until January. Other governors are doing similar things…Newsom (or Noisesome) in California has instituted travel restrictions (immediately violated by him and several members of the state assembly and senate…they traveled to HI for a conference), and gathering restrictions (immediately violated by him as he traveled to Napa for a birthday dinner for a lobbyist at the French Laundry…inside). But he presumes to tell people not to celebrate Thanksgiving. As does Cuomo.

Fear again

I wrote about fear back in May (wow, it’s been that long?) and wrote several times since about Karens and fear, masks and fear, and fear itself again. It seems like the spring, summer, and now fall has been one long battle against fear. For some of my friends, fear is winning. They are afraid to go out as they once did because Wuhan Flu. They’re afraid we’re turning into a fascist/authoritarian/dystopian state…or Russia. They’re afraid of the changes they see around them…whether those changes may be for good or ill.
